Weather Patterns

Welcome to Weather Patterns. This lesson covers key standards-aligned content.

Core Concept

WEATHER is what the air is like outside right now โ€” sunny, rainy, cloudy, snowy, windy. TEMPERATURE tells how hot or cold. Weather changes daily and follows SEASONAL patterns: spring is warm and rainy, summer is hot, fall is cool with changing leaves, winter is cold with possible snow. Scientists use TOOLS to measure weather: thermometers for temperature, rain gauges for precipitation, wind vanes for wind direction.
