Why Do We Need Passwords?
A password is a secret word or code that only you (and maybe your grown-up) know. It proves that YOU are the one using your tablet or game, not a stranger. Think of it like a secret handshake — if someone doesn't know the handshake, they don't get in!
Strong Passwords vs. Weak Passwords
A weak password is easy to guess, like "1234" or "password." A strong password mixes things up — like using a silly phrase such as "PurpleDinosaur7Jumps!" Strong passwords are longer and harder for anyone else to guess, even a computer trying millions of guesses.
Not even with your best friend! A password is only safe if it stays secret. If someone asks for your password, always check with a grown-up first.
Keeping Your Password Safe
Grown-ups sometimes write passwords in a special notebook kept in a safe place — never on a sticky note stuck to the computer screen where anyone can see it! If you ever forget your password, ask your grown-up to help you make a new one.

Design Your Own Secret Code
On paper, invent a strong pretend password using a silly phrase, at least one number, and one symbol (like ! or $). Draw a lock and write your invented password next to it. Share your creation with a grown-up and explain why it is strong, but never use it as a REAL password for any account.
A great trick: pick two silly words, add a number, and add a symbol. Example: TacoRocket5? is fun to remember but hard for anyone else to guess.
