Prompt Playground
Mix subjects, styles, and details to craft a prompt — and see how every word changes what the AI makes.
Prompt Playground 🎨
AI image makers need good prompts — clear instructions that describe exactly what you want. Build your prompt by picking parts below, and watch the Detail Meter fill up as your prompt gets more specific!
1. Pick a subject
What is the picture about?
2. Add describing words
Pick up to 2 — these make the image more vivid!
3. Choose a setting
Where is the picture happening?
4. Pick an art style
How should the AI draw it?

How does it actually work?
When you type a prompt into an AI image generator like DALL·E or Midjourney, the AI reads every single word. Words like “glowing” or “watercolor”each steer the final picture in a different direction. The AI was trained on millions of images paired with text descriptions, so it “knows” that “watercolor painting” looks different from “pixel art” and adjusts the output accordingly.
Longer, more specific prompts almost always produce better pictures because they leave less to chance. A vague prompt like “dragon” could give you anything — a cartoon, a realistic creature, or a shadow. A detailed prompt like “glowing, ancient dragon underwater, in the style of a watercolor painting” guides the AI much more precisely. That is why prompt engineering — the skill of writing great prompts — is so valuable!
This lab assembles your prompt from parts and previews it in text. No AI network call is made — the feedback is computed entirely in your browser from your choices.
