Being sovereign means being the boss of your own things. When something lives with you — on your paper, your computer, your shelf — you hold the rules. When it lives on a company's website, the company holds many of the rules instead.
Companies and their tools can be wonderful and helpful! The smart habit is simply to know which is which — and to keep your own copy of the things that matter most to you.
