How does it actually work?
Every AI helper in this town uses a technique called machine learning. Humans feed the AI millions of examples — like thousands of X-ray images labelled healthy or not healthy — and the AI finds patterns in those examples. After enough practice, it can recognise those patterns in brand-new data it has never seen before.
The AI does not “think” the way you do. It is really good at comparing new information to millions of past examples and saying this looks most like X. The power comes from the enormous number of examples and some very clever maths.
Real humans always check the AI’s suggestions — the doctor still reads the scan, the farmer still looks at the field. AI is a powerful tool, but the person is in charge.
